This course aims to give insight into restrictions for landscape design, arrangement and construction, forced by several land uses on a local or regional scale. The question is how to improve and adapt the space for present and future land uses. In this course we focus on one land use at the same time. Interactions between several land uses will be the subject in course 2 (LAR-30806).
For each land use its desired topology, geometry and chorology and the consequences of these for design and arrangement are presented. Measures to improve the functioning of the land uses and their impacts are presented, as well as data sources.
The next landuses are discussed: agriculture, nature, urban living areas and business parks, infrastructure and outdoor recreation. Further the course deals with hydrological and environmental aspects, choice of materials and project management.
