Lecturer(s)B Broyart

Language of instruction:

English

Contents:

The students work on data from an industrial case. General methodology of modelling is presented and used to predict heat and mass transfer phenomena and possible interactions with quality changes.
They will write conservation equations and solve the system of equations obtained.
The use of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software is presented with industrial examples.

Learning outcomes:

After successful completion of this course students are expected to be able to:
- interpret experimental data in terms of modelling of transfer phenomena;
- predict heat and mass transfer phenomena.

Activities:

- lectures;
- tutorials.

Examination:

Written report on the problem solved.

Literature:

Will be announced.
