Contents:
The course gives insight in the contemporary philosophy. It discusses different types of philosophy and insight is given into the thoughts of Nietzsche, Wittgenstein, Heidegger, Nussbaum, Derrida en Levinas.
Learning outcomes:
After following this course, the student is expected to have gained:
- insight in contemporary philosophy;
- knowledge on a few important philosophers.
Activities:
- studying the course text and text fragments from the philosophers discussed.
- answering questions and discussions based on the given the texts.
Examination:
Paper or oral exam.
Literature:
A reader will be available at the beginning of the course.
