Contents:

In this course leisure and tourism are studied in the context of globalization processes. These processes will be analyzed on a theoretical, empirical as well as normative level.
Effects of social, economical, technological and ecological transformations on leisure and tourism are studied in a comprehensive way Central themes are:
. - transformations in leisure and tourism places;
- socio-economic, technological, ecological determinants of change.

Aims:

Upon completion of the course, the student will:
- be able to analyse leisure and tourism developments in the context of globalization processes;
- have knowledge of holistic theories of social, economical, technological and ecological transformations;
- be able to analyse the influence of the transformations on development of leisure and tourism places;
- be able to write a scientific article;
- exchange information and communicate with students from different disciplinary backgrounds.

Activities:

Literature search, literature review, scientific writing, defending/argumenting/critical reviewing, group work .

Examination:

Written exam, assignments.
