Contents:

This Course, an introduction to Leisure, Tourism and Environment, provides a broad-based overview of the scope of the leisure industry from a global perspective including an overview of such topics as the production, regulation and organisation of leisure, tourism and recreation, presently and in the past. Leisure and the associated sub-disciplines will be analysed as well as leisure behaviour and the associated impacts on the environment. In addition, the institutional context of leisure time and the links/networks in leisure and tourism will be addressed.

Aims:

Introduction to the field of leisure and tourism, related to environment.
