Contents:
This course is a follow up of the basic course QVE20304 - Veterinary Epidemiology and Economics. Within this advanced course several key areas in veterinary epidemiology - like sampling strategy, diagnostic test performance, observational study types and useful advanced statistical methods and transmission models - will be dealt with.
Aims:
After this course the participant should be able to design, analyse and interpret epidemiological studies and to evaluate relevant literature.

- take home assignments;
- PC-practicals.
Examination:
Open book (also use of your own notes is allowed), written exam (3 hours).
