BSc Landscape architecture

Contents:

The course is a fusion of the experiences of an internship including all the practical issues the students are confronted with and the academic 'research by design'-setup of the MSc Atelier. A real-world project that concerns issues like climate sustainability, landscape and urban fabric, ecology and socio- cultural issues will be brought into the course by design offices, municipalities, ministries or other organisations that are relevant in the field of landscape architecture. In cooperation with that organisation a great deal of 'research by design' is involved within an academic context by the students. Hence the guidance is a combination of representatives of the respective involved organization and academic staff.
The course consists of an introductory part to acquire the necessary scientific knowledge and theory and a design research part later in the academic year.
