Choose an internship of at least 30 credits from RO4 on a subject corresponding to your specialization. In the specialization Biomedical Research the internship should be taken at a medical institute, academic hospital or in pharmaceutical industry. In consultation and agreement with your study advisor, Dutch students who want to become a full registered teacher in Chemistry ('eerstegraadsbevoegdheid Scheikunde') may choose RO1b instead of RO1a, and choose ECS-70430 instead of the specialisation related internship. In this way, the extent of the postgraduate teacher-education programme is significantly reduced. If you choose RO1b you must choose ECS-70430 but not necessarily vice versa.
