RO0: if you did not follow an advanced statistics course in your previous education, this course is compulsory, but discuss this with your study adviser
RO1: this courses are optional courses, not specifically related to any of the specializations
RO2: choose in consultation with your study adviser either (1) YMC-60809 + YMC-60303 or (2) YMC-61303 + YMC-60303 + an additional optional course or (3) YAS-60312

A - Animal Breeding and Genetics

Limited choice:

RO0: if you did not follow such an introductory course during your previous education, this course is compulsory, in consultation with your study adviser.
Choose 1 cluster from RO1-RO2. If you choose RO1, then choose in consultation with your study adviser 2 courses from RO1A in relation to your thesis subject; for thesis subjects related to quantitative genetics or animal breeding ABG-31306 is compulsory, for thesis subjects related to molecular genetics ABG-30306 is compulsory.
Thesis for internship replacement (approval by the study adviser is required!):
- WU-BSc students may replace the internship by a second thesis of at least 24 credits;
- HAO and international students must replace the internship by a second thesis of at least 24 credits. For those students who wish to do one of the following profiles:
- Students who choose the Research Profile must replace the internship by a second thesis of at least 24 credits; the choice, however, is limited to theses (co)supervised by chair groups of Animal Sciences;
- Students who choose the Education Profile must replace the internship by a second thesis of at least 24 credits with the chair group Education and Competence Studies (ECS) and, in consultation with ECS, two additional 6 credit courses;
- Students who choose the Communication and Policy Profile must replace the internship by a second thesis of at least 24 credits with the chair group Communication Science (COM) or Public Administration and Policy (PAP) and, in consultation with the chair group where the thesis is done, two additional 6 credit courses;
- Students who choose the Business and Management Profile must replace the internship by a second thesis of at least 24 credits with the chair group Business Economics (BEC), Management Studies (MST) or Marketing and Consumer Behavior (MCB) and, in consultation with the chair group where the thesis is done, two additional 6 credit courses.

B - Animal Nutrition

Limited choice:

RO1: Choose in consultation with your study adviser 1 course that is related to your thesis subject.

- WU-BSc students may replace the internship by a second thesis of at least 24 credits;
- HAO and international students must replace the internship by a second thesis of at least 24 credits;
For those students that wish to do one of the Variants:
- Students who choose the Research Variant must replace the internship by a second thesis of at least 24 credits; the choice, however, is limited to theses (co)supervised by chair groups of Animal Sciences;
- Students who choose the Education Variant must replace the internship by a second thesis of at least 24 credits with the chair group Education and Competence Studies (ECS) and, in consultation with ECS, two additional 6 credit courses;

C - Animal Production Systems
