QVE-20306 Veterinary Epidemiology and Economics.


This course is a follow up of the basic course QVE-20306 Veterinary Epidemiology and Economics. In this advanced course several key areas in veterinary epidemiology -like sampling strategy, diagnostic test performance, observational study types and useful advanced statistical methods- will be dealt with.

Learning outcomes:

After successful completion of this course students are expected to be able to:
- design epidemiological studies including sample size calculations;
- calculate epidemiological parameters and interpret the outcomes;
- evaluate literature relevant to veterinary epidemiology.
