Contents:

To provide students with in-depth knowledge on a research topic within the field of water technology research.
The subject is not fixed. Students will choose their own topic and write a literature review/essay under guidance of a supervisor.

Learning outcomes:

After the course the student:
- is able to use various library and computer databases to search thoroughly for literature on a (to them) unknown subject;
- can analyze the literature and identify and select the information needed to write a report;
- is able to perform various lab-experiments using advanced methods commonly used in water technology research (optional);
- is able to write a paper and/or give a presentation stating the foremost findings from the literature, and is able to compare and discuss them.

Activities:

Students are required to work individually on a certain subject by literature, desk- top studies and lab-experiments (optional).

Examination:

Final paper and/or presentation (oral exam).

Starting literature will be provided.
