Contents:

The course aims at giving an overview and insight in business economics, with a focus on financial management and accounting (internal and external reporting). A stakeholderview is adopted. The corporate decision making proces is studied from the different stakeholder interests (shareholders, banks, suppliers, government etc.), and from different angles (profit, risk, market, environment, taxes etc).

Aims:

- knowledge and application of accounting and finance techniques;
- skill development of application of knowledge under different perspectives/problem areas;
- knowledge of relevant literature.

Activities:

Lectures, (computer)practicals, self-study.

Examination:

Written exam, including multiple choice questions.
NB: students that have done one or more of the following courses:
- Inleiding bedrijfseconomische analyse (first year course)
- Financial Management (MST-20804)
- Corporate Accounting (MST-21804
cannot be granted any (extra) studypoints for this course, because the previous mentioned courses include parts of this course.
