Mathematics at the VWO level Wiskunde A1,2 or B1.

Contents:

Applied mathematics relevant for the social sciences: topics from matrix- and vectoralgebra and analysis, including applications. The language of instruction is Dutch. Computer practicals to enlarge insight and skills.

Aims:

- acquaintance with mathematics relevant for the social sciences
- acquirement of insight and skills, in particular in an applied context
- ability to use a computer package.

Activities:

- active participation in tutorials and computer practicals;
- preparing for the tutorials and practicals, and keeping up the subject matter.

Examination:

Written exam with open questions and/or short answer (or multiple choice) questions.
